“A performer has their lunch - one (vegetarian) tuna-fish sandwich (lettuce, butter, buttered whole wheat toast) and a cup of buttermilk - above this empty score. Once their lunch is finished, the performer gets out their instrument, and uses the crumbs on this sheet as a notation for a 3 - 5 minute performance. The tempo and volume are up to the per former, as they are free te develop a system of interpretations according to crumb size, messiness and color.”
