“For their first large outdoor work, Caz Egelie took on the idea of highlighting/disguising, Smoke and Mirrors. An interpretation of a work by Edward Allington is placed inside of a large, solid spotlight, which hides part of the sculpture. Using Allington’s interest in cornucopias as a starting point, the light seems to fall from the spotlight placed on top of the sculpture, devouring the pillar in it’s way to the ground.”
